The Optex Redscan RLS-3060 detector has been nominated as 'security innovation of the year' in the Security Excellence Awards 2009. The Redscan detectors create invisible, horizontal and vertical laser walls and zones around a site, offering superior intruder detection, whilst reducing false alarms.
The detectors can be integrated with other site security systems, including CCTV and remote monitoring surveillance solutions, to enhance their functionality. Flat and upright mounting The Redscan uses four, fully programmable detection areas to direct pan, tilt and zoom dome cameras at intruders when movement is detected. This can trigger CCTV recording at the same time. The extents of each detection zone can also be adjusted so that movement outside the secured area, but inside the detection zone, can be ignored. This adjustment can follow complicated site shapes or set a detection height above ground level to ignore small animals.
