StarWatch and StarNET system

Remsdaq Ltd and their Bahrain business

partner, Arencon Security have designed

and installed a complex security solution to

safeguard assets and personnel at the Ahli

United Bank Headquarters in the prestigious

Seef District of Manama, Bahrain.

The security solution comprises of an

integrated StarWatch security management

system, consisting of StarNET access

control, CCTV surveillance and intrusion

detection. StarWatch and StarNET work in

unison to create a seamless security

solution.

The building is architecturally dramatic and

is a symbol of the commitment to banking in

the region.

The design involves more than 70 colour

internal and external cameras that provide

extensive coverage of the building. 24 of

the cameras are PTZ (with pre-set

positioning). 4 DVR's are used to digitally

record the data and one matrix screen to

view. The images can be viewed by suitable

authorised personnel either via the intranet

as well as live at the operator's console.

Remsdaq Protecting

There are over 70 HID Proximity card

readers and over 2000 cardholders. The

system uses RS485 and TCP/IP for

communications. All transactions are

reported back to the PC-based operator

workstation at the security room.

Additional equipment provided within the

overall project package included two sets of

hydraulically-operated rising bollard barriers,

one set of three at the customer car park

entrance and one set of two at the employee

car park / delivery entrance.
