Avigilon’s business development recruit promotes HD surveillance

Avigilon has recruited Drew Deatherage as its new business development director, responsible for expanding awareness of the company's high definition (HD) surveillance solutions among security consultants.

A seasoned security technology consultant himself, Deatherage has managed security installations at sites including Dallas Love Field airport, Southwest Airlines General Utility Building, and the Academic Village at Cal Fullerton, California.

In his new role, Deatherage will develop educational programmes and act as a specification and design resource for the security consultant community to aid in the design of HD surveillance systems, hybrid systems, and the migration of analogue systems to digital video surveillance.

"Avigilon's HD surveillance platform has been selected for surveillance projects at colleges/universities, stadiums and arenas, airports, ports, and other infrastructure projects," said Dave Tynan, vice president of global sales and marketing at Avigilon. "With his industry experience and security technology expertise, Drew Deatherage will play an influential role in guiding consultants through the successful installation of these types of installations."
