Barix this year showed its complete range of Audio over IP and IP control/monitoring solutions at IFSEC, including two recent product introductions:
Annuncicom 200
The Barix Annuncicom 200 is a versatile, standards-based IP Intercom and PA device with PoE support, capable of full duplex (bi-directional) streaming of uncompressed audio formats, or half-duplex encoding or decoding of MP3 streams. With two contact closure inputs and built-in relay, it provides the necessary I/O for push-to-call and door opener functionality.
The Annuncicom 200 features a built-in 8-watt speaker output and microphone amplifier to allow direct connection of a microphone and speaker. An Aiphone door station interface allows the use of third-party intercom panels. Line level input/outputs and an isolated 48V supply input are also provided. Applications include paging/intercom in residential, commercial and public facilities such as airports and shopping malls; as well as door intercom systems, audio distribution, alarming, automatic announcements and monitoring/control.
PS16 Paging Station
The PS16 is a compact, multifunction master station for use in IP intercom, paging and voice over IP applications. It features a flexible gooseneck microphone, a one-watt speaker, a 2x24 character backlit LCD, and 16 user-definable push buttons (expandable for larger systems) with LED indicators.
The PS16 connects directly to a facility network and can communicate with other PS16 stations or Barix Audio over IP devices, as well as IP-enabled microphones, speakers, amplifiers or intercom panels spread over a large area. This makes it ideal for distributed intercom, monitoring, or paging systems where voice communications from one-to-many points is a critical requirement.
The PS16 software application is shipped with source code for custom programmability. The lack of any PC or server requirement simplifies the integration process and reduces system costs.
