CHEP is now available in stainless steel for applications in mines Tekno System is proud to announce that the Explosion Proof Camera Housing CHEP has been released in stainless steel for mine applications. Being certified ATEX and IECEX with the I M2 Ex d I the housing can host analog, digital or thermal cameras in mines where there can be the presence of potentially explosive gases - such as methane for instance - fumes, fog or dusts. The housing for the thermal cameras is equipped with Germanium window and with a protective grid made of stainless steel. Such grid is required to protect the germanium filter which is obviously a fragil material; this has to be properly considered once the system has to be designed. The temperature range of the CHEPinox is from -20 to +50°C. The materials and components utilised, allied to the surface treatment guarantee an extremely high protection level against corrosion, polluting elements and salty fog. Its weatherproof protection rate is IP66 and IP67. The Atex and Iecex certifications are always respected simply when the installer carries out all the camera and housing inallation and maintenance operations on site. This is due to the extremely simple opening system of the CHEP housing and to its user friendly connections and adjustment fittings.
