CNL’s partnership with Shield Safety and Security enhances Middle East region specialist’s security services

CNL, a developer of physical security information management software, has unveiled a partnership with Shield Safety and Security, the military and police supply division of Bin Salem Holdings, an Emirati owned group based in Abu Dhabi, which serves the needs of government, security and industrial corporations within the Middle East region.

The organisations' new strategic partnership adds CNL's technology to Shield's existing portfolio of services for homeland security, transportation, oil and gas and other critical security facilities. Visitors to the upcoming ISNR show in Abu Dhabi next month (1-3 March) will be able to find out more, as the two companies are jointly exhibiting there.

CNL's software is designed to reduce the cost and deployment time in C2 and C4i command and control solutions, whilst increasing the effectiveness of these operations. With the increasing need for integrated security, this partnership is said to offer the benefits of situational awareness with the experience of a large-scale security group.

"We are seeing strong demand for effective command and control software in the region, and CNL's software is perfectly suited to meet the demand of critical infrastructure protection and homeland defence applications," comments Ahmed Al Kaabi, General Manager of Shield Safety and Security. "Additionally, safer city initiatives from across the region are taking place, and they are all looking at intelligent ways of managing large amounts of visual and data intelligence."

CNL's solutions include its IPSecurityCenter system, which is reported to deliver integrated systems management that is transparent to the end user, along with a single view of events and incidents via customised role-specific graphical user interfaces and 'dashboards'. It's also said to provide process-driven event management (via graphical workflow tools, response plans and a customised alarm stack design), along with analysis, status and management information.
