Dubai, 8th September, 2009 - Erinys International is pleased to announce that it has concluded a merger of interests with IDG Security Afghanistan Ltd. The merged entity will continue to trade within Afghanistan under the name IDG Security but will henceforth operate under Erinys management. Speaking from France, Alastair Morrison Chairman of Erinys said that “this is an excellent outcome that brings together two companies with a common culture and
understanding of the region along with complementary experience and expertise”.
The merged entity, which is currently providing services to both the US Government and the United Nations in Afghanistan, has its headquarters in Kabul. Speaking from the Middle East, Ian Gordon the Chairman of IDG Security said that “the merger is a logical way for our companies to contribute further to supporting the people of Afghanistan and the international assistance effort”. Erinys is an international security company with extensive experience of providing security and support services in Africa and the Middle East. This experience has demonstrated the value of combining local and regional expertise with the highest international standards of risk and project management.
