Nedap AVI to show new long-range access control readers at Intersec in Dubai 2011

Nedap Middle East will exhibit at Intersec 2011 and will present its latest solutions for Nedap AVI and Nedap Security Management. Intersec is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition for safety and security in the Middle East, making it the perfect platform for Nedap to present the latest additions to its product range.

Having successfully introduced the uPASS reach in 2010, Nedap AVI will show this latest addition to its long range identification product line.

Based on the use of battery free, passive UHF transponders, the reader output allows the parking system to open the gate when authorized without the need for card readers or PIN pads. A built-in, high intensity LED provides visual feedback for the user that the tag has been read.

With a consistent reader distance up to 4 meters (12 ft), the new uPASS system is a viable, comfortable and cost-effective solution for commercial and residential parking installations such as car parks, gated communities, employee parking access and many more applications. In addition, its integrated fine-tuned antenna and elegant casing makes it ideal for both outdoor and indoor locations.

Nedap AVI will also present its parking detection solution based on wireless sensors or SENSITS which can detect the presence of a vehicle in an individual parking space. This solution is especially useful for efficient parking management within garages and also on-street parking thus preventing unnecessary frustration for drivers and congestion.
