OPAX First to Implement Mirasys’ Open Video Content Analysis PlatformBy integrating Video Content Analysis software with Mirasys recorders, customers experience simpler, more flexible surveillanceLondon, UK - 9th March 2010 - Mirasys today announced that OPAX, a provider of high performance video analytics software, is the first video content analysis (VCA) provider to integrate and implement Mirasys' new Open VCA Platform. OPAX's software will now work seamlessly alongside Mirasys recorders without any necessary changes to the Video Management System (VMS) itself, automating an otherwise unnecessarily complex process. Mirasys launched the Open VCA Platform in February 2010, and the collaboration with OPAX marks the first of a number of partner technologies that have already integrated with the solution and been tested in the field. OPAX's integration means that the Open VCA Platform can now work with GPS calibrated systems to see real-time moving imagery within the camera view. Through the technology, objects such as vehicles, people and animals will be displayed on a graphical map as moving icons. Data including type, exact position, speed and the size of objects is also recorded and managed through the Mirasys interface. This implementation allows the system to enable alarm functions remotely in any camera connected to the network. "Customers who require detailed GPS token-based surveillance are now able to seamlessly integrate OPAX's VCA software with a Mirasys recorder. Previously, this process could have taken weeks if infrastructural changes to the VMS were required. Now, such changes can be avoided, saving both cost and time and allowing customers to take advantage of instant security improvements," said Jukka Riivari, CEO, Mirasys. Matts Lilja, CEO of OPAX, stated, "We are proud to be the first VCA vendor to integrate with Mirasys' Open VCA Platform. We have witnessed Mirasys' leading traction in the security market and welcome the opportunity to offer our customers OPAX VCA software alongside Mirasys' innovative IP camera solutions." Mirasys and OPAX have already successfully worked together on a project in the Middle East to deploy the new system to address a perimeter protection situation which required high security. The Mirasys Open VCA platform is now integrated with additional providers including VCA Technologies and Agent VI. Based on the positive reactions from the Industry, Mirasys expects to this to be expanding soon. Visit www.opax.com for more information. Marco Ylä-Kojola, Sales Director, Mirasys Ltd |
