PECAN’S BRILLIANT NEW BULLET IS DESIGNED TO GO THE DISTANCE

Pecan CCTV has announced the arrival of its new PC130HLTO True Day/Night bullet camera (supplied with an IR cut filter) designed to provide high quality long distance night time viewing of up to 80 metres.

The impressive coverage, which has been extensively tested, trialled and proven prior to its launch, is due to a specially developed high power Infra Red Light Emitting Diode system featuring 70 IR LEDs that eliminates ‘hot spots' to provide excellent picture quality and optimum viewing capabilities.

Director, Jess Johns told us, "Having tested different light configurations we decided that a combination of conventional IR LEDs and the latest second generation SMT (Surface Mount Technology) LEDs provided the best and most efficient lighting."

"We actually started developing the PC130HLTO with our manufacturing partners back in April and have been working hard to refine and create the specific technology required. For example we have specially selected a lens with 10 x zoom to match the lighting output and have changed the bracket and specification specifically to suit the application."

So we have held a large number of night time viewing trials in total darkness using a variety of different locations to accurately assess its performance."

In addition to being exceptionally easy to install and set up by hand the PC130HLTO camera is packed with a variety of useful features. For example the controls allow for quick and easy adjustment of the IR corrected lens viewing angle as well as the OSD (On Screen Display). A secondary video output is also available which can be used with a test monitor and the equipment has automatic switching from 12v DC to 24v AC input.

The Sony Super HAD 1/3" CCD provides high resolution 560/580 TVL to deliver the best possible picture quality from daylight to darkness whilst the lens itself is a varifocal 5-50mm DC controlled auto iris.

The camera is supplied complete with a fully cable managed integral bracket and the device is IP66 rated for use in external installations. The PC130HLTO requires 1000 mA power supply such as Pecan's popular PSU1210R.

Ideal for a wide variety of distance viewing applications the new PC130HLTO is particularly suited for installations in car parks, supermarkets, hotels and other venues as well as industrial and commercial premises.
