The REDWALL REDSCAN RLS-3060 is an innovative laser scan detector. It can detect a moving object's size, speed, and distance from the detector and process that information with a unique algorithm, which results in high-reliability detection of people with minimal false alarms. The RLS-3060 utilizes a time-of-flight laser scanning technology that can be mounted vertically or horizontally according to the application and site conditions. Special system algorithms are able to differentiate between human targets and smaller unwanted targets such as small animals and birds whilst ensuring no missed alarms.
Rugged and durable construction and highly reliable in operation, the sensor has four, individually addressable and adjustable zones, making the sensor ideal for integrating with Preset Dome cameras typically used in Remote CCTV Verification systems and high-end perimeter security systems
When vertical detection area is selected, the RLS-3060 creates a 60m detection area that functions like an invisible wall. With four outputs for remote video applications and four fully programmable detection areas linked with these outputs, the RLS-3060 is the ideal detector for controlling PTZ cameras.
When horizontal detection area is selected, the RLS-3060 creates a detection area with a radius of 30 m and an arc of 190°. The detection area can be set manually or automatically. If the automatic setting is used, the detector will set the proper detection area even for complicated area shapes.
One of the many unique features of the RLS-3060 is that it can map the secure area perfectly; scanning around objects, bushes etc - in downward facing mode, the unit can map the ground contours perfectly including raised mounds and/or gullies thus eliminating possible creep zone areas.
The rugged polycarbonate IP66 rated housing provides a stable environment for the detection electronics. All head adjustments are tamper protected to prevent sensors being re-aligned by unauthorized personnel.
