Reliance Protect lone worker protection solution gains IS0:27001 compliance

Reliance High-Tech has gained ISO/IEC 27001:2005 accreditation for its Reliance Protect lone worker protection solution.

Following stringent audits from the BSI, ISO/IEC 27001 assures the delivery of Reliance Protect as a formally secure lone worker solution relating to both IT and data security.

The certification has ensured that Reliance High-Tech has demonstrated systematic examination of information security risks, taking account of threats, vulnerabilities and impacts.  The international standard certifies Reliance High-Tech have designed and implemented a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls.

Reliance Protect is a fully-managed lone worker protection solution for those potentially exposed to harassment, intimidation or violence in the course of their working day.  Reliance Protect devices are worn about the person and located using a mobile network and/or GPS technology.  The wearer is able to discreetly alert the Reliance Monitoring Centre to a threat ensuring no suspicion is raised.

By listening to and capturing everything that takes place during the incident,  trained Reliance monitoring staff can respond appropriately, depending on the severity of the situation - including calling out the police, alerting colleagues/supervisors and archiving recordings as evidence for any legal action.
