Samsung's megapixel camera models are ONVIF-compliant
"We at Samsung support ONVIF's mission to facilitate integration in the network security environment based on a global open standard, and we are proud that our latest HD network cameras conform to that standard," said Samsung Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Frank DeFina. "Simplifying the path to open systems integration is a great benefit to both integrators and end-user customers. ONVIF compliance aligns perfectly with our goal to leverage Samsung's global presence as we become a top-tier security company in the U.S. market." The four ONVIF-compliant models are true day/night network cameras (using an infrared cut filter) and support 16:9 HD (720p) resolution. The dome models feature 2.8-10mm megapixel varifocal lenses (f1.2), and the model SNV-5080 vandal-resistant dome is IP66-rated to withstand harsh environments. Model SNV-5080 also provides a fan/heater for outdoor installation and is selectable for surface or flush mounting. Other features of all four progressive scan network cameras are bi-directional audio support, an SD memory slot for internal recording, intelligent video analytics, and power over Ethernet (PoE).
