Video IQ iCVR receives software upgrade

Manchester, United Kingdom. Intelligent CCTV product manufacturer, Video IQ, has just launched a fourth software upgrade for its iCVR cameras and encoders. This takes its pioneering range of intelligent IP cameras with integral digital video recording and transmission to another level. The iCVR automatically detects people, vehicles and boats and learns to disregard normal scene activity such as swaying trees. A simple set up procedure can make the iCVR disregard specific, normal scene activity and only record and warn of the most important, irregular site incidents. When the iCVR is connected directly to a broadband network on-site, little or no extra security equipment is required to allow remote monitoring.

The improved functionality includes:

  • Two-way site audio, synchronised with CCTV images - listen in and talk to a site
  • Configurable pre-alarm video recording added to the existing post alarm recording facility
  • Windows 7 compatibility
  • Missing object analytics
  • Simplified configuration options
  • Enhanced user login options

Existing iCVR cameras, already installed and in operation, can be upgraded remotely by network. Although stand-alone, the iCVR is compatible with Milestone, Immix and Genetec monitoring station control software.
