Video IQ launch the iCVR integrated camera, recorder and detector

Manchester, United Kingdom. Intelligent CCTV product manufacturer, Video IQ, has introduced its iCVR into the UK. Its outward appearance that of a CCTV camera belies its impressive specification which includes built-in audio video recording and video analytics based detection. The iCVR automatically detects people, vehicles and boats and learns to disregard normal scene activity such as swaying trees. A simple set up procedure can make the iCVR disregard specific, normal scene activity and only record and warn of the most important, irregular site incidents. Security system efficiency and effectiveness are increased by filtering out unnecessary data. All site incidents are recorded within the camera at up to D1 resolution. Incident data is transmitted as video clips over a network when appropriate, reducing network bandwidth usage.
Gary Mercer, Video IQ UK sales director explains, “The iCVR combines intelligent detection, recording and video surveillance in one. It makes installation easier, reduces false alarms and proactively detects the common intrusion risks. When the iCVR is connected directly to a broadband network on-site, little or no extra security equipment is required to allow remote monitoring. This has the potential to shift the burden of responsibility for security system management and operation from local staff to an off-site facility with the necessary skills.”
Although stand-alone, the iCVR is compatible with Milestone, Immix and Genetec monitoring station control software.
